Lately, I feel like I’ve been prettttty busy. (As you can see, I haven’t posted on here and nearly a week!!) Every week I’ve had quite a few sessions and although I absolutely love it, there does come a time when I just need to be still. To pause. Even if just for a moment :) During the day, my time is spent taking care of Leland, being with my husband, and such. Any extra time I try my best to prioritize with work (photography.) Some days, I totally miss those hours with my Bible and my journal and worship music. Now, that does sound so wonderful and all spiritual-like but I can’t just always slip away for hours (even minutes!) at a time anymore. Now, through out the day I try to have worship on through out of house. I try my best to sneak away sometimes, but it doesn’t always happen. I’m reminded that the Lord can be glorified through out my little tasks each and every day, through out each and every simple prayer I say. He can be glorified in every little detail of my life, no matter how big or small. I have confidence in the fact that I know the Lord sees this season of my life. And so tonight, when I got home I heard this song from Phil Wickham and it resonated within my heart. How deeply I want to reflect the Lord and His love in my everyday life. To everyone I meet, I see, and spend time with. Even if it is just for a minute spent in prayer, or even a half hour (during leland’s naptime!) it’s during these times when I am filled up so that I can be poured out again. I can’t live without it. Even though these kinds of moments are shorter during this time, they are still sweet and beautiful.
“If you are the sun, Then I wanna be the moon
I wanna reflect the light that shines from you
And if this is war, Then I’m gonna draw my sword
This time I know what I am fighting for…
God I wanna let you know
I want everything you are
I’m waiting for the morning light to show, a fire in the dark
Shine your light, I wanna feel you now…
Shine your light from the inside out, I wanna be more like you”
